Flowers have long woven their way through history, whether painted by artists, pressed into books, or collected and cultivated in garden sanctuaries across the world. These gardens act as serene escapes, where we find ourselves slowing down, tending to new ideas, and crafting sweet memories anew.
Reflecting on the beginnings of Jardin, Bonnie shares, "Jardin began as a collection of memories. Years spent wandering the world's most beautiful gardens, from the cottage borders in Kew, and the botanic order of Berlin, to the quiet corners of Parc Floral de Paris.”
Across all of these verdant retreats, flowers are a unifying thread. Varying in perfume, petals, shape and abundance; their idyllic beauty captures a moment or season reverently.
Throughout this collection flowers are reimagined in painterly patterns, with a palette of citron olive, sweet pea pink, sunshine yellow, and Yves Klein blue – all set against coastal stripes and 70’s inspired geometrics. At its core, Jardin is a collection that captures the feeling of your favourite cottage garden on the first day of Spring.
Jardin evokes a gentle sense of nostalgia, blurring the line between the sanctuary of home and the gardens we hold dear.
The Sweet Pea Buff cushion pairs softly with its kindred, Sweet Pea Pink and is grounded by Garden Stripe to form a dainty and delicate springtime pairing.
For sun-drenched, warmer days and homes that embrace richer, honeyed tones, the linear Lattice Wheat cushion pairs with Meadowlands Wheat and Buttercup Wheat’s painterly floral - bringing a touch of ’70s nostalgia into the home.
Speaking to this interplay of past and present, Bonnie shares, “The artwork for Jardin is created from places I have visited for years but reimagined for the way we live now". This sentiment carries through to the mid-century patterns woven throughout the collection, grounding its fresh florals with a sense of structure and nostalgia.
Meandering through a season of colour, the palette moves from the softness of spring to the height of summer, culminating in Yves Klein Blue. Reminiscent of retro seaside stripes, The vivid tones of the Pinstripe Red Blue cushion bring a playful energy to the collection. We love to layer it with Prairie Lilac and Pansy Yves Klein Blue to craft an electric scene across you living space.
Together, colour and print invite the delights of the warmer seasons to wander indoors, filling familiar spaces with the nostalgia and quiet beauty of a garden coming back to life.
“My lifelong love of flowers is given a season of its own. Jardin is my ode to nature's seasons, to colour that shifts with the light, to the history held in every bloom” – Bonnie
