Q&A with Bonnie: Inside the New Collection

Every season begins with a spark of inspiration in the studio - often colour, sometimes a flower, always a feeling. In our new collection, Bonnie shares the ideas, motifs, and design process that shaped each piece, from hand-painted artwork to the final cushion or table setting. In this Q&A, she talks about her inspirations, her favourite designs, and how she hopes this collection brings joy into your home.

What was the starting point or inspiration for this collection?

The starting point was colour. I wanted this collection to feel uplifting and summery - fresh, pretty, and full of life. Colour always sets the tone for me, and from there the designs naturally began to take shape.

How do you want people to feel when they bring these pieces into their home?

My hope is that they feel uplifted and energised. I want our pieces to make people feel joyful, comfortable, and happy to be at home - to walk into a room and instantly feel a lift in mood.

Can you tell us about the key motifs and colour palette this season?

Geraniums were one of the first motifs I worked with. I love their scent and the unique patterns on their leaves. From there, I drew on the lush greens and rich tones of garden foliage, building verdant and leafy palettes that carry through the collection. The result is a mix of vibrant florals and grounding greens that feel both playful and balanced.

How does this collection connect to your earlier work, and how is it different?

I always like my collections to flow on from the previous one, creating a sense of continuity. At the same time, each season takes on its own personality. Customers have been telling us it feels so bright and so pretty, which makes me feel I’ve captured the mood I was aiming for.

Which designs or products are you personally most excited about?

I’m really excited about our ceramic plates and tableware. There’s such a sense of beauty and playfulness in this collection - they’re pieces that feel artful but also really inviting to use every day.

Do you have a favourite way of styling the new pieces at home?

Each season I do a big cushion refresh at home. Simply swapping covers and updating the palette in my living room is enough to transform the space. It’s such an easy way to make a room feel new again.

What role did the studio process - sketching, painting, sampling - play in shaping the collection?

It’s always the starting point. Every piece begins with my artwork, and that foundation carries through the whole process. From initial sketches and paintings, to sampling and refining, the studio process is what brings the collection to life.

Where do you love seeing people using these designs most - the dining table, living room, or bedroom?

I always come back to the living and dining rooms. They’re the heart of the home, where people gather, share meals, and spend time together. It’s really special to see our designs become part of those moments.

How does this collection reflect the broader design trends you’re noticing in interiors right now?

I think people are becoming more confident with colour in their homes - it’s no longer just about neutrals. There’s a real movement towards layering prints and embracing bolder palettes, but doing it in a way that still feels liveable. Florals are also having a moment, especially those that feel nostalgic or hand-crafted, which is something we’ve always loved exploring. This collection brings together all of those ideas: colour that lifts your mood, patterns that add personality, and pieces that make your home feel joyful and unique.

What do you hope customers take away from this collection?

Joy! That’s always the goal - to create designs that make people smile and feel happy in their space. If our designs can make everyday moments feel a little brighter, then I feel I’ve done my job.
